Steel sailing vessel for expeditions to the remote parts of the world
PETER I is a steel sailboat, the RUSARC flagman. It is ready for the roughest high latitude expeditions. It was built in Magnitogorsk, Russia in 1992. Joined RUSARC fleet in 2009, it was fully renovated. In 2010 PETER I became the first vessel in marine history to sail around the North Pole via Northwest and Northeast Passages in a single navigation without any icebreaker assistance and thus set a world record.
