PETER 1
This steel sailboat, a RUSARC flagman, is ready for the roughest high latitude expeditions. She was built in Magnitogorsk in 1992. RUSARC bought her in 2009 to set a world record with its expedition to the Arctic; and for this purpose the boat was fully reconstructed. In 2010 she became the first vessel in maritime history to go around the North Pole via Northwest and Northeast Passages in a single navigation without any icebreaker assistance.
